Baltic Wharf Sailing Club Facilities
Club Facilities at Baltic Wharf
The club has a dedicated outside lock-up and space in a Dutch Barn in which members can lease a storage space for their boats. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and are offered at a substantial discount to Bristol Docks' normal dinghy storage fees. If you'd like to sail regularly & keep a boat at BWSC, please contact our secretary for more information and to join the club.
The slipway at BWSC has a fairly gentle gradient and a pontoon is available for on-the-water rigging. Large dinghies are easily accommodated at the club.
Changing Rooms & Showers
The club has separate male & female changing facilities with hot showers and accessible bathrooms. Lockers are also provided for non-valuable items.
Baltic Wharf Sailing club has a clubhouse for use by members and for club related equipment storage. The race results & OOD duties are posted here and off the water club training is generally held here.
The clubhouse is located in the same building as the changing rooms.
All club events end up here, at the Cottage Inn on the waterside. A great way to get to know other members and find out more about sailing, different hobbies and various professions.
Although Baltic Wharf Sailing Club does not directly offer sailing lessons, we're right next door to All-Aboard! Watersports. Many of our members and their families have learned to sail here and are now very successful helms at the club.
We've a good mix of members, both male & female - of all ages. We meet regularly for sailing & non-sailing events, including; a successful monthly steak or veg night, visits to boat shows and camping at other sailing clubs. All great ways to get to know the other members at BWSC...
