Training
- Sorry - we are unable to provide basic training in dinghy sailing. Your best bet is to complete a course at a RYA (Royal Yachting Association) affiliated school. - If you intend to helm - in the interests of your and other's safety on the water, before you join our club we ask that you have completed RYA Dinghy Sailing Levels 1 (Start Sailing) & 2 (Basic Skills), or have a season's experience as a dinghy helm.
- If you only want to crew - no prior experience is necessary, though helms might appreciate your doing RYA Level 1 first.
- We occasionally run informal un-certificated training sessions, for which a very small fee may be charged. See 'When' for dates and for advice see Peter Vinton's notes on Beginner's Racing Training.
